New Patient Program

What being a new patient at bel-ray looks like

Our new patient process is a two-day program that requires about an hour each day. Our staff and doctors need time to thoroughly examine any tests or scans to determine the best care plan for you.

DAY ONE:

Let’s get to know you! Your visit will start off with some paperwork that will help us get to know your health history and areas that you have concerns about. While you are working on that, our patient educator is going to be putting your account together for you, but they will need some items to begin this process: ID & Insurance card

After the paperwork, you will get some one-on-one time with our patient educator. They will give you a breakdown of how our program works and help outline some important information. Most importantly, they will be gathering information about your symptoms and areas of concern to pass along to our doctors.

Off to the doctor! Our patient educator will pass you off to your doctor for an examination. Depending on symptoms and severity of pain, we may conduct other tests and scans to ensure we have all the information needed to make the best care plan for you.

X-Rays

Orthotics screening

Posture scan

Lumbar spine Range of Motion test

Cervical spine range of motion test

When we have gathered all of the necessary information you will be taken by our rehab therapist to do our relaxation therapy. This will conclude your first-day visit. We do not adjust on your first visit because it is important for us to find the origin of your pain or symptom before we go start making adjustments.

DAY TWO :

Let’s make a plan! Your second day here at Bel-Ray will be all about you. All of the information we gathered on your first visit has been broken down for us to show what we found, but also to help provide a solution. Our doctors will work together on a multi-part program specifically made for you. Not only to address current symptoms but to teach new skills and give you tools for maintaining and strengthening.

After finishing up going over the care plan, you will be ready for your first adjustment. Our doctor’s methods are very gentle, yet intentional, and can be used throughout different areas of the body that are experiencing discomfort.

Last but not least, you will go in to start the rehabilitation that follows your adjustment. Therapy can look different for everyone. Some patients will enjoy the relaxation therapy, while others may participate in ultrasound therapy or decompression therapy.
